A specialist shop for trail and ultra running.
Getting into retail was a logical step while organising ultra races. Especially since it was at a time when there were no specialist shops catering to trail and ultra runners – more than 20 years ago.
So, in December 2005 Racelite.de/.com started out as an online shop for Adventure Racing and fans of ultra light gear for Trail Running, Trekking, Hiking, Mountainbiking and Mountaineering.
From December 2007 to August 2015 I also ran a stationary store – from about 2010 to 2015 the store had 250 m² sales floor and was situated at the Rathausplatz in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
August 2015 I closed the store and went back to focusing on online only and specialising in the areas I have the most expertise in: Trail Running and expeditions and races in cold environments.
The strenghts of Racelite.de/.com were competence, credibility, fast service, a very direct contact to our customers and a range of products that is very unique in Germany.
Due to our moving to Sweden, I closed the shop June 15th, 2025. At this point I don’t know if Racelite will make a return. The shop is still there and we have product. If anybody were interested in buying the shop and taking over, I would be happy to talk about it.
